Best Marketing Scheme

I work for a small, Web-based company (FlatDoor). What is the best marketing scheme to promote our website? We have gone through many grass-roots marketing campaigns with limited success and are now investing in many online campaigns. In case this affects the way to market our site: FlatDoor.com is a reverse auction site for goods and services worldwide. We are really looking to find our niche in jobs that can be done from long distance, such as site design. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Good ideas but SEO works best in the long run

Cost per visitor and transaction cost are a few of the metrics we use to monitor our short term messaging campaigns. Some of the ways we do it are landing pages, word dynamics research and of course good content.

Online Marketing

Here are a couple of suggestions

1) Make sure you register with Google and the other search engines to optimize your chances of being returned in a search result

2) Think about paying for targetted ads on social networking such as Facebook

3) You could also use the Go-daddy scheme of getting ads on parked sites but that's probably not as targeted and may earn you some ill will

Can you expand on your online campaigns

Hi.., great info.

InfoStreet is also a Web based company, we have an online software product called StreetSmart and allows small to mid size company run their office without having to license MicroSoft Exchange, Outlook, and several others from their product like. This saves companies thousands on licensing, hardware purchased, setting up all the network nonsense that IT guys love to charge handily for.

I'm interested in what type of online marketing campaigns your doing.., Adwords, Ad-buys with Federated, or other ?

Look forward to your reply

Phil.
